Thumbs up Exhaust questions

Ok Im about to put a whole new intake and hi flow exhaust on my 2000 tacoma standard cab to add some ponies. Are there any suggestions on what kinds of exhaust kits to use and I was wondering how much more horse power replacing all this will give me? Another other modifications one would suggest I could do for little horse power here and there without messing with my whole engine? Also I plan on using K&N fuel injection performance kit.
Thanks

Try doing a search for exhaust with the search button above just below the pic of the 3 4runners. Im sure you will find more than enough info from that. A lot of people seem to favor either a dynomax, which I have myself, or a magnaflow. You might also want to check out Gadget's site as its pretty much required reading as its a great source of info...besides here of course

Hope this helps.

I do a lot of offroading and hunting with this truck. Will this affect the filter or should it handle it just fine?

It won't effect the filter but you won't be able to get as much from your exhaust unless you upgrade it. The idea is to maximize the flow of gasses overall. A stock paper filter will restrict airflow a good deal compared to an Ams-Oil filter.
