EngnBldr Timing Chain Kit
Hi!
Yes, I have two versions. #TKS900 is complete with gears, tensioner, chain
and both rails, and gaskets/seals for the front end. They are $54.00.
The TKS900S/R is the same with the steelbacked driver's side rail, those are
$64.00.
Either version ships for $8 USA lower 48.
Paypal is this email address,
Thanks,
Ted(engnbldr)

a complete timing chain kit for the truck, can you please let me know
exactly what it includes and the pricing as well. thanks - steve
Does this sound right?? i looked on DoaRacing site and they sell a kit for 275$, whats the deal?? if its correct ill jump on the 64$ kit right now, and hopefully there wont be too much labor charge to install it.

Yeah the second one for $64 is the one you want. Lots of good things have been said about him (I think he is a member of this board) and his products.
If you are mechanicaly inclined, you can save on the labor abd do it your self.

Experience with engnbldr
I put in a timing chain kit, cam and a front cover of theirs a few weeks ago for a buddy. Good parts, good service, good price and he didn't mind a few questions on the phone either. All in all an awesome vendor!

I'm happy with the timing chain kit I bought from him. Great guy to deal with. I recently bought one of his crawler cams for my '86 4runner and it works really well. I haven't heard anything negative about him yet.

i have never actually gotten it installed yet... since im not mechanically inclined enough to do it myself, the best i could find was 470$ for labor, which is from a reputable company who works on toyotas, they are called inland trucks(they make ats suspension).... anyways im working on saving the 470$ rite now hope to get it done soon- and the kit is sitting in my room all the pieces look like great quality!

thanks for the input...i think i'll be ordering my kit tonight i can't wait to get it installed...my timing chain is making a horrific racket til the oil pressure builds...is $470 bout the right amount to charge for the timing chain installation? a very reputable mechanic in my area quoted me $150 for the labor...
Thanks

I have ordered from endbldr a headgasket, head bolts, timing kit, front cover, oil pump, water pump. I have not yet seen the parts (I'm in michigan and the parts are in PA) yet, but when I go home this week I am going to start my install, I've heard NOTHING but good things, check out his ebay ratings!!!! steel backed is the way to go, $275-300 is a RIP off! I paid ~240 for everything, I think he cut me a decent deal!

Bad parts
I bought the RV cam and some rockers for my '91 22RE and had a bad experience with these parts. I think I got a bad batch or something. Anyway, he responded as a good professional should and just told me to ship them right back to him...no problem. Lots of help and advice in very timely e-mails. Other than getting the bad stock, I had a good experience with him.

The guide on the driver's side of my truck is completely gone, and the chain is acting like a chainsaw on my cover. Just found that out yesterday while adjusting my valves.
Protrux recommended I get a steel guide, so the guide doesn't disintegrate again, cause now I have to get all the plastic chunks out of my oil pan.
So the TKS900S/R has the steel guide?
