engine replaced.....Freon gone?
Hey,
just got my rebuilt motor installed again and picked it up today. A/C is blowing hot like there's no freon to cool it down.
I dont know, but would the freon be released/captured during an engine removal/reinstallation?
I'll just go get a refill kit if that's it, but didnt know for sure......
any clues?

Sounds to me like:
A. the shop went the easy route and evacuated the freon and unhooked hoses from the A/C compressor to swap out the engine and then didn't (or couldn't) refill and didn't bother to tell you before or after the work, or
B. the shop screwed up and damaged a hose causing it to leak out either with or without their knowledge.
In the event it is option B, have the sytem checked out before adding any freon to it.
