Engine Question

Hey, im new here but owned my 93 sr5 for a while. anyways i have over 200K on my truck and am looking into a new engine. i know i can put a supra engine in the truck, but im wondering what other engines will bolt up to my tranny. 6 cylinder is nice, but id rather get a 4 cylinder, maybe turbo.
can anyone help me?
thanks

From what I have learned, the most popular swap for the 2gen is to the 3.4 litre (5fze???). Is your truck auto or manny? What engine is in it now?
The 3.4 litre is popular due to the obvious increase in power, and the option of a TRD superchargers and the like. Now, I don't know if you can swap in a 3.4 if you have a 2.2 in it currently. Maybe someone else more knowledgable has that answer?

From: 100 miles offshore as much as possible, & Springfield Oregon USA
You can swap in a 3.4, a Chevy 4.3 V6, small block Chevy, small block Ford, and the Supra straight 6 all fairly easily. Check with Advance adapters, Downey, and Northwest Offroad for adapters and misc pieces for swaps. Also, thouroughly search these forums, there is a ton of info here. You could also just rebuild yoiur 3.0 but make it more powerful and reliable at the same time - a little is a lot! Again - lots of info here on this forum.
