Engine question?

Is there any difference in the 3.4 v6 between the years 96 and 02? If so what are the differences? I found an intake I want to go with but it says its for a 99-02! But arent the engines and intakes the same on the 96-02? Thanks for the help!

When you say intake, do you mean the plastic air intake or the actual manifold that the throttle body bolts to. I know the early 5VZFE air intakes around the MAF were different.

No, they are different.
....96-98 are interchangeable (has the one piece large MAF).
....99-02 is different and won't fit without modification (smaller MAF).
