hello, this is my first post but have been veiwing the board for months. i am 17 and i have a question guys I have a 1990 4-runner with a 5-speed manual its great first truck. i bought it used with 214,000 miles on it i know crazy but ive known the guy for years. the engine had just been taken out and had all the seals redone at the toyota dealer or whereever they sent it from there. but i know the engine will go up shortlly it has a 3.0 right now would a 3.4L from a new 4-runner be a good smart and easy installation ( easy enough for an engine shop to drop in and not charge me a fortune) i know if i wanted to replace the 3.0L with a jasper rebuilt one it would $2000 i allready have a shop in line when this motor goes. has this swap been done before lmk! im very interested. thanks!
