I'm not as up on 4 runner suspension lifts as I am on Tacomas or trucks, but I know that Daystar is a pretty reputable company. I'm sure a 4Runner guy will chime in here pretty soon...

Seems to be very similar to a revtek, cornfed, etc. lift, or any other spacer-based lift. Daystar is a respectable brand for poly stuff. The difference between spacers of various brands can't be that dramatic, correct me if I am wrong.

Is it as good as a real suspension lift kit? i.e. OME? Not IMHO.

that is true. I just like cornfeds b/c they are AL.

As with any spacer lift, the ride will get stiffer. But usually it's not too bad. I have a spacer lift on my Tacoma, and although I felt a little difference, it wasn't bad at all. Is it as nice as bling coilovers? NO. Is it MUCH less expensive - YES. If you have the coin, do the coilovers, but spacers aren't a bad deal...IMHO.

thank you, i have heard that they are not safe though..any input there?

also post a pic of your rig if you only have a spacer lift...maybe before/after...ANYONE!!

I've done this very Daystar spacer lift on my rig. Daystar spacer lifts are as good or better than Cornfed and Revtek because of the poly spacers...the ride is less harsh than metal because of the flexing of the poly. Here are some before and after pics of my rig...

With the Daystar lift, ride is just a little harsher and body lean is a little more noticable in tight corners. I got my kit from Wheelers Off Road for $249.95, which is about the cheapest price I found and the guys there are very helpful! Good luck!!

I too have that lift, It rides nice not stiff like the metal spacers seem to ride. I got mine for sale at 4wheelparts cheaper than that. I thought stuff on Ebay was cheap. It easily clears my 33x10.50's w/ no rubbing at all.
U will need a few parts that I made my self, but that u can still buy.


Here is my drop down panhard bracket (I welded it on after pic was taken)

Here is my e-brake cable ext bracket, I bought it from Ace for a couple bucks plus a bolt and nut.

Wow PO, you're clearing 33's? After my pics were taken, I put 265/75's on, which are basically 32's. I didn't think 33's would clear without a BL. Go figure! Also, I didn't do a panhard drop on mine...many people told me it wasn't necessary with 2.5 inches of lift. I've had mine on for about 9 months with no problems whatsoever.

I have 33x10.50 which is slimmer than most people run, that is why they clear fine.

i panhard drop is not mandatory, but for the rear to sit even and work properly yes it does need a drop down bracket or bar. The panhard works best when it is level. And it centers the axle, w/o a drop down the axle will shift to the passenger side. Lots of people run w/o a fix, but I prefer for everything to work the best way possible.
