Talking early xmas present from gf

and next years bday present.. lol

cant wait to put it on this saturday.
This will be my first big project so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'll be following bajataco's writeup Good writeup btw bajataco.

Most likely it'll be just a 1.5" lift for the front for now since i wont be installing the rear shackle til early next year.

That site is exactly how mine went in two weeks ago - it's VERY straight forward.

fwiw, my Schrader valve's are pointed in.

The only thing I would suggest is that if you have a bench vise, then clamp up the shock and adjust the thread height off of the truck. It's a lot easier when you can spin the spanner wrench through more than a 20 degree arc.

Past that... CONGRATS!

Mine got their first trail ride last Sunday.. they're AWESOME!

Make sure that you have the 9/16" inserts at the bottom (they come shipped with a zip tie around them and they just pull out). SAW screwed up and gave me 1/2" inserts, so I had to drill them out. Kinda sucked to find this out after I had pulled everything apart. Luckily I did the install at work, so I had access to a drill press.

Mike said he was going to send out the correct inserts if this pertains to you.

i did get them from Camburg since the shop is only 15min away.
The price was $625 Tundra valved . $605 would've been nice.

thanks for the tips guys. Keep em' coming.

any suggestions what kind and where to get the 1.5" shackle? also a writeup? Most likely it will be paired up with some bilstein 5100's but i'm short on funds at the moment.

Just curious... is there anyway to tell the Tundra valved from the Tacoma valved by just looking at the coilover?

my buddy has a '98 taco and he got his SAWs from camburg with the ttora discount but he didn't go the shackle route. He got the OME leafs to get the lift in back. he's pretty satisfied with them. I have a bunch of pics of his rig wheeling and flexing if you are interested. just let me know.

no. it has to do with the valving discs on the inside. check bajataco's site for his install and a write-up on revalving, or you can go to the SAW website and they have the revalving instructions there too. he's got pics of the process that I was checking out last night because I may rebuild mine over thanksgiving for something to do.
