they are a 10 ply tire versus a 6 ply. It can handle more weight and will most likely run a little harder than a c load or p metric tire of the same tread design. what size exactly are you planning on running? a 235/85r16? if so I know other folks on here are running these.

i think even one of our big forklifts we rent at work only has D rated tires on it.

and it's a "ply rating" not actual plies. it's probably more like 2 or 3 ply.

you can run them that is all I am saying. For example, that tire if its a 235/85r16 e load is the stock tire you see on dualies ford pickups and older chevy dualies. Do a search on them I know I have seen folks on here running that. PM them and ask how it treats them.

I've had my 235/85/16 revo's for a couple months now & love them. The ride is better than the old tires, mostly because I went from 28" to 32", the old tires were junk, and the revo's are really nice. I suspect a wider tire would a softer ride, but I have exactly what I want. The ride is certainly truck like, but I don't have a good idea what the stock ride would be, so I can't say how much different it is.

If you like a car-like ride, you don't want 235/85/16s. I had a set fitted on my rig before I bought the 285/75/16 Revos I'm sporting now. It was a rough ride.
If you're looking for tall and narrow, look at a 255/85/16 tire. BFG make their KM in that size. I think Dunlop makes an MT tire in that size, too. And they're still a load-range D.

thanks for the replies. i bailed on the 235's, because I didnt want that harsh of a ride with the E-rating. Based on all the posts here, i actually went with the revo's, 265/75/16. I have done all the big D-rated tires on other vehicles and ended up not enjoying the street ride. I decided to go with a more balanced tire for the type of driving i do: mostly pavement, some dirt and logging roads. The Revos are great, good solid ride with pavement friendly and trail friendly tread, and they look good too.
