Anyone ever lined there hood with Dynamat or some type of liner to reduce engine noise? Maybe looking to do it on my 93 pickup

 

I've personally not done it as my hood's liner is in good shape, but I've seen it done & it does work to reduce the engine noise.

 

i was a little skeptical about them at first until i installed one on my ford pickup (fullsize). it was pretty good at controlling the engine noise and it seconded as a heat shield. however i took it a step further and installed some on my exterior firewall. real quiet now and not rattling when the stereo is cranked up.

if only i could find some good rubber to replace my door and window seals with, then it be nice and quite.

 

Can you not buy door stripping/gasket by the roll where your at?
I've had a few different cars, none of them new, & on more that one I've had to replace the door's stripping/gasket.
Something that I've usually been able to come up with from the local parts store or donor car from a local salvager, as the situation demanded.
