What does the DXL Options Package intail on a 1988 Pickup.

Not sure but to my understanding the dlx is the basic model. I have an 86 4runner dlx and it is pretty bare.

 

Well, i Have had a base model and it wasnt DLX. Mine didnt have anything, no stereo, power nothing, no a/c.
But that may be below the base model too.

The DLX (deluxe) was a step up from the base truck on earlier models it included cloth seats, power steering, radio, arm rests on the doors, upgraded sound deadening (better floor vinyl) and a few other minor goodies. On 3gen hiluxes it was pretty spiffy and included carpeting, 60/40 split cloth bench, and parts of the sr5 sound deadening package, v6 option and better radio selections a good choice if you wanted an sr5 but needed the avail. 3 up front seating of the bench.
