Drop in MPG
Over the past month or so i have noticed my mileage has dropped quite a bit. At first i thought it was just the winter blend of gas but its still terrible at ~16 when i should be getting 18-19 both on hwy with the same 265-75-16 tires. I did a 1200 mile round trip from school-home-school as averaged ~16.25mpg. @75mph. I have driven the same stretch over and over and usually get 18-19 at the same speeds also with 265-75s. So im not sure what/if there is something wrong. Ive got new plugs in, New fuel filter, Cleaned MAF, changed oil and checked codes and there was nothing. I keep up on my maintenance. What could be causing such more mileage or am i just bring overly sensitive about it? Should i look into cleaning the TB? thanks for any help.

did you get new tires? did you go wheeling and maybe bend some steering component causing your alignment to be off? are you running consistent tire pressure? did you add any parts in the recent past, such as bigger wheels, brakes or other heavier then stock parts? the reasons are endless and at first may seem like little things but add up to make allot of difference.

I don't see the problem here.. wish I could get 16mpg
I'm around 12!!
There could be a multiple amount of things causing the change. MAF, TB, o2's, intake, vacuum lines, sparks plugs/wires, suspension, tires, extra added weight, etc etc.. Best thing to do is to make a list and slowly cancel out one ofter the other to find a solution. Good luck

one thing i havent checked for a while is my tire pressure, they *look* ok that will be the first then i check. I havent been wheeling recently and yea ive been carrying weight but ive been cruising long strait flat roads (I5 from LA to sac.....). as far as the air filter its a true flow cleaned not to long ago. I guess ill just have to keep going down the list, you guys gave me a good starting point tho thanks.

I was just thinking that ive done a couple sea foam treatments recently and that is another possible issue, maybe it got my 02 sensor dirty. Im not going to be to check anything till monday when i get back home (at the parents place for the weekend). But im a poor college student and i was wondering if there is a way to clean 02 sensors? just thinking outloud and want come opinons
