DRL Switch?

Has anyone been able to figure out how to disable the daytime running lights on an 01'-02' 4runner and install a switch to turn them on and off?

I did search but the only people I found with it are pre-01' owners. The 01'- 02' 4runners are wired different

I saw that write up but I want to add a switch to be able to turn the DRLs on and off depending on the situation.

Thats what I was hoping but I read a post about not being able to do it in one thread. I want to be positive it is possible before I go and cut wires.

I do recall someone stating that putting a switch on the wire that the TSB has you cut doesn't work, which really baffles the hell out of me why it doesn't. I can't do a search at the moment, but I suggest you dig a bit deeper. The info should be there.
