Check out the instructions for the TRD supercharger install. They walk you through removing the belts. That's when I changed all of mine.

Then just use the ones that matter..Once the belts are loose they can be taken out by working them around the fan blades.
4. Loosen the pinch nut in the center of the A/C compressor belt
pulley and loosen the adjuster bolt enough to loosen the belt
(see arrow, figure 4).
5. Using the angled flat ratchet, loosen the pinch nut and adjuster
bolt for the power steering pump.
6. Remove the two belts.
7. Loosen the alternator pivot bolt (top), pinch nut and adjusting bolt
and remove the alternator belt.

Install is the reverse.. Pay attention to the order of the belts upon removal. This is wayy easier than you may think. If you can change your plugs, you can do this in like 30min.

It is pretty much obvious as you do it. I was nervous when i did it the first time since its the belts! ooooo.. Some of the bolts are a pain, and i did remove my airbox to make it easier for the PS belt. If you have a lift it makes life easier. Also remove the skid plates. And as mentioned the belts will snake over the fan blades with some turning.

edit, forgot to add. clean up the belt grooves of the pulleys and such while youre in there as grease and crud builds in there over time

How about belt tension. Do you really need the tool to check or can you judge by feel? If the tool is a good idea, is autozone/advance/carquest a good place to pick one up?

Here is what i don't understand, Which bolt is the pinch nut?

the Red one or the blue one? the blue one i thought is the 'lock nut'(thats what i thought it was called but i think now thats the pinch nut) for the adjuster bolt,I just want to make sure i don't unbolt the wrong one. I'm pretty sure its the lock nut you need to loosen and then unscrew the adjuster bolt? So once i loosen up the lock nut(pinch nut?) and then unscrew the adjuster bolt back it should be loose enough to come off correct? Thats how did the A/C Belt, Is it the same with the Power Steering belt or am i missing something?

The A/C belt was easy and everything is pretty much straight forward and more accessible than the power steering belt.

I'm not messing with the belts until i get some ratcheting wrenches, there is no way i can get a normal ratchet on the p/s adjuster bolt and it takes forever with a normal wrench.

i just did my belts and did them by feel like all my other cars in the past. however, i wanted to make sure they were tightened enough and went to part store after part store and they all looked at me confused and said they didn't have anything like that. i also work at an auto dealership (not toyota ) and a guy selling Snap On tools came in and i asked him if he had one, but after searching he said there wasn't one on his truck or even listed in the catalog! according to my wonderful Chilton's manual (not!) the gauge is easily found at any auto parts store, not really.
good luck finding one, if you do let us know where you got it and for how much, thanks!

Be warned! replacing these belts are not as easy as one would think. Not the same at all as the 3VZ!

I did it for the first time myself a few days ago. It really is not hard at all. The only tricky part was tightening the nut for the power steering belt because of where it is located. Other than that, it was a breeze. I didn't use a tool to check the tension either and all seems good...
