drag in 4wd

drag in 4wd
so the other day i went out and when i put my 4runner in 4wd there was some drag on the passenger side and it was pulling to the right. i took it out of 4wd and nothing. what is going on here

It shouldn't do that, I sometimes pop mine in 4WD on the road (straight line only) just to keep the CVs lubed and it never pulls or drags. I'm at a loss to think of what would cause it. The first thing I'd do is unlock the hubs and crawl under the truck and start tuning the CVs by hand to see if they turn freely and smooth.

), and then I bought a replacement from a junk yard that was supposedly 4.30, when in fact it was 4.56. This led to some major underspinning of my front tires, it looked like I was trying to brake stand
I finally got a good diff (decided to just dump the ADD) and now everything is happy.Yeah, that sucked
