There was a guy on this board a while back that had a built 3.4 with a centrifugal supercharged/intercooled 4runner. I believe it was all custom work.
The runner was for sale at the time.

most of us here are truck people. 300hp on the stock drivetrain with 31 or 33" tires can cause a lot more trouble than some car that isn't going to strain the drivetrain that much with a hi-po engine.

also, there's the huge underlying sentiment in the toyota community that if toyota didn't design it a certain way, it's for a reason, and that OEM is superior to all aftermarket parts. i'm sure a 22R that puts out 160hp without much trouble would be possible if only somebody would step up and make decent head, but nobody ever seems to touch our engines.

Thanks for the heads up on this..

I had Ross pistons make 3mm overbore custom pistons for my 300ZXTT. I'd like to know how far you can safely overbore these motors (good for torque).

Bolted URD's fuel setup+supercharger last weekend, really woke up my 97.

The 5vz block is only starting to show its potential to many people out there, its a surprise to me as since i first got a hold of my 96 Tacoma i have only wanted more, thats why I started my company. Dedicated to improving some of toyotas "under dog" engines and showing what they can do themselves.

Lack of funds slowed thigns down a bit but currently am in the works of purchasing another 5vz engine to put into my Toyota MR2 that i have; as well as a customer of mine who is also doing the same thing so I will be working on 2 of the engines. One of which will possibly be built up (depending ont he customers plans) to handle 400whp at the least with a custom turbo kit im giong to be building.
My engine for my MR2 will be staying fairly sotck but i plan to push whatever i can out of the 5vz N/A wise and will start with increasing the RPM by working with the heads and oil pump. I am in the planning stage for building up a twinscrew charger kit for the 5vz as well as a few other things. All in time
