Do I need new UCA's?

I installed toytec coilovers a few months age, they are set to about 2 1/2" of lift (they gave more like 3 1/2" but I'm thinking thats due to the stockers sagging from stock) anyway the upper ball joint is now at a pretty sharp angle (see pic) I'm really not sure what this looks like stock because I didn't look at it before the install. so my question is do i need after market UCAs? if I don't replace them whats the worst that will happen? Thanks for any imput.

Normally the upper control arm is about level with the coil bucket. New upper control arms will help with getting the alignment within spec. They will also allow for slightly more downtravel. I would measure to see how much lift you received. The center of hub-to-fender measurement is normally around 23". With the 2" body lift it would be around 25". Our light racing upper control arms are a sealed ball joint unit similar to stock, but are more adjustable for the alignment. They will also decrease the angle of the upper control arm.

Wow I heard Toytec had good service (one reason I went with them) now I see it's ture, Thanks for the reply. Ok I have 25" so that means 2 1/2" lift correct? So if I can get the allignment in spec and don't need the down travel I should be ok with the stockers right? that ball joint wont snap or something?

I would go with the light racing UCA as well. You shouldn't need the more expensive camburg/total chaos arms as the Toytec coilovers aren't setup for extended travel (as far as I know...)

Do it right the first time, you'll be happier in the end.

Looks like you will be going through alot of ball joints if that is how your UCA is sitting when your truck is level ...

The 25" measurement would be about 3" suspension and 2" from the body lift. The new UCA's would put the upper ball joint at a better angle than the stock UCA's. The stock UCA's will work, but the Light Racing UCA's would help with the ball joint boots rubbing together as well as the angle of the UCA.
