my truck is shaking a bit on the highway... and coasting down most hills i slow down, even at low speed. i didnt get an alignment after i got new tires, so im thinking that's the problem. the truck still tracks straight though, for the most part. also noticed im low on power steering fluid. any input on what to do is good cause i gotta drive 500 miles this weekend.

fill the power steering fluid back up... this might also help in your shudder at speed..... an alignment is always good with new tires, to maximize life.... if the alignment is out badly, it can also contribute to shaking as its worn the tires to a patternt that even after the alignment wont correct itself

The shaking could be the tires out of balance, you dont have to get an alignment after new tires but its good to. First add more power steering fluid then check for leaks. If none is found, you may have to have a mechanic try to do a pressure test on the line to check for internal leaks or malfunctions.

i just recently had a new power steering pump put in, i hope this one doesn't go again. it could be the tires out of balance but it doesn't feel like that. thanks for input. guess ill just put some fluid in and see how it goes . the beast really needs lower gears now with 33s.
