Digital clock

heres a funny thing, when i installed me headunit, i pulled the trim, disconnecting all the plugs, got it done, put trim and plugs back, clock was dead, turns out there is a place to stick a plug, that isnt a plug, just a dead end holder type thing as if you didnt get the clock as a feature or something.... anyway, i had it stuck there, and just needed to re attach it to the right spot...
you havent had yours apart have you?

I have had this problem since I bought my truck, though it does come on every once in a while. I checked at the dealer and they wanted 270 plus tax. I might check ebay though it doesn't bother me that much.

Hey, I had this same problem, when I bought my 99 4runner this past June, and was almost willing to spend over $200 for a new one. I took the dash apart, and it it turned out to be a few places where the solder joints cracked.
Simple and free fix if you have a soldering iron and solder.

Mine has also been dead since i got my truck. I have checked the plug on the back. nothing. looking closer at the clock it looks like their is a black spot behind the lens of the clock. I would like it to work. but not willing to dump a lot of cash on just a clock. atleast my mazda's clock had the date too.

Thanks for the intelligent and useful replies. Seriously? Is this how all new member's questions are treated? I did a search of the site and didn't find any answers to this question if posed previously. Am I missing something?
