Diesel in a runner???
I someone would switch in a diesel engine in there 4runner like my '95. How would it pass emission tests? Would you have to tell the DMV that it is a Diesel now? I live in North Carolina.

Over here in diesel land (ie everywhere but North America) the emissions test for diesels is only a test of the smoke density, not what the emission contains. Petrol on the other hand is a different kettle of fish.
Probable conclusion: its the same over there ?
My smoke is damn dense and I failed (accepted levels x 10 times). Next time I wont pay off someone, I'll do what everyone else does and put lots of paraffin in the tank

LOL. I guess you have never been to California...we have the strictist emission laws in the world. My GF had trouble smogging her Civic and its only 5 years old. This place is wack.
