Daystars, Cornfed, Revtek

What is everyones opinion about the Daystars, Cornfed, and revtek spacers. I noticed that the daystars are poly, does that matter at all. What would you suggest buying? does company matter?

what year is your truck? if it's a 4th gen 4runner, then your only choices are daystar and revtek spacers ... (i have the revtek on mine and love it)

otherwise, i think everyone would recommend going with cornfed if they make them for your truck year.

oh, okay.

well then ... some of the other guys ought to be able to help you out more than i can, but i can tell you (almost surely) that if possible, you should go with Cornfeds.

there are a lot of threads on these options ... when i was starting to look for a spacer kit for my truck, i asked a similar question and GoodTimes mentioned that Cornfeds are the best (though they didn't have an application for my year truck). Then Daystar and Revtek are pretty much equal to each other.

I'm not trying to steer you away from Yotatech, but since you're local to these guys you may want to check there also. Most of those guys run Cornfed spacers. (Dave from Cornfed is also in VA and posts over there). There are actually a couple threads about this same topic going on right now. I know that TiTRD on that site is running Daystars and he doesn't like them that much.

BTW, how did you like the trailride on Saturday? Were you in the group that was in the accident on Rt. 33? How did your buddy's ZJ do?

Cornfeds but I'm biased. And it seems like somebody on here is always selling some when they upgrade to new coils/shocks etc.

Hey...yea i was right behind the Unlimited and the YJ. IT was a pretty bad accident, luckly everyone was ok. THe run we did was very easy, didnt even use 4wd. It was definately fun though. Which run did you do, do you have any pics? Matt (The guy with the ZJ) did perfectly fine. I definately need a lift so i can go to more fun trails.

Yep. All the trails there are easy. There aren't many places where you need 4WD. Only at some of the river crossings and some of the rocky sections on Kephart.

Our group ran the "loop trails," as some call them, or the Dry River trails. They're pretty flat with some mud holes every so often. There are two cool river crossings though, and the water was running high. It came up just high enough that a couple of the stock Jeeps got some water inside. Then we ran Kephart.

I always forget to take pictures, so I am waiting for some people from my group to post some on NOVA Jeepers.

EDIT: Our group ran into a group of guys from customtacos.com while we were heading up Kephart. One of them, Ted, who is also on the VA TTORA forum, shot a whole bunch of pictures.
