Unhappy Dang The Devil

I have a 1987 4wd truck that i swear was built by the devil. My main concern right now is the transmission. I will try to explain what is going on but please understand that I am no mechanic and that i have lost alot of my sanity thanks to this devil truck. Ok here it goes: when you are driving the truck and the RPMs reach the level in which you should shift the trans, starts making a god awful racket, when you clutch and shift the racket stops until its time to shift again, if you don't shift the racket gets much louder and eventally I get scared and shift it. Also if you try to pull anything heavy and by heavy i mean over 300lbs, the truck does nothing, it won't spin a tire over or anything, all it does is sit there then after a few seconds smoke, and usually alot starts to come out from where the slave cylinder is. which brings me to my next problem the rubber boot behind the slave cylinder, its not part of the cylinder but the one around the metal rod that goes into the trans, looks like it is melting and part of it is dripping down on the front drive shaft. I hope this makes sense to someone, I have already had the Preist over and he can't do anything with the truck so maybe you guys can help. any info you could provide would be GREAT!! Thanks ALot

from the description it sounds like a clutch & throw out bearing problem, not really a devil of a problem. how does it do w/o a load on a (up)hill? M/C is full and no leaks? try bleeding and adjusting first.

Even Mother Teresa's truck had the clutch wear out. Definatly not a satan assisted problem. Go ahead and cancel the exersism.
