Crazy fuel gauge

So I did the SR5 swap and working out all the bugs.

I just filled my tank and the fuel gauge never goes all the way up. In fact it moves around a lot.

My old gauge moved alittle, but was pretty steady, so I am pretty sure that my sending unit is ok. Do I just have a bad gauge?

It ha sthe low fuel light, but I want the gauge to work to get an idea of where I am in the tank. I would just feel better if it at least read full when it is full.

if you are sure that the sending unit is fine then it must be the gauge

The sender in the rig the instrument cluster came from is different. (Pickup/4Runner/big tank/small tank) You might try to get the sender from the donor...

crap, that sucks. Does that mean the low fuel light isn't accurate?

It sounded like that sender was hard to get at on 4runners. and expensive from the dealer.
