Cracked wire harness covers

I have a 98 Tacoma 3.4L w/150k miles and I have pulled the intakes so I could service the injectors.

I have all gaskets etc. but I wanted to ask about a couple of other items before I throw her back together...

I cracked the passenger side wire harness cover where it bolts onto the valve cover (both places) when wrestling with the intake. It looks like this part just snaps over the wires but on the other hand I don't think any harm will come from leaving it as is. Just wanted another opinion or 2 on whether I should replace this or if doing so might cause more damage or is difficult.

I also had to wrestle with the rubber fuel line return hoses so perhaps I should change those while I can get to it. My wife has an old car which developed a fuel leak due to cracked hose right at the engine - kinda scary

Finally I wanted to ask if there is a better tool than basic pliers to close the small hose clamps. Regular pliers have a hard time closing both tangs at once and I tend to frustrated and damage them. Perhaps some type of right angle plier?

Thanks
