A couple of flex pics

I decided to experiment with the flex in my new lifted setup.

Next time around, I will disconnect the front sway bar (If I can ever track down NUKE).

It also highlighted why a locker would be good...that lowest rear wheel started spinning when I tried to drive forward out of the ditch
Rear axle droop

Rear axle stuff

Hardware

In this last picture you can see the Billy, the top of the Downey spring and just see the custom bumpstops. Those of you with 99 and up trucks will note the lack of the stock isolator cone...the new setup is much smoother.

Just got to iron out that small vibration problem.

David

Looks good. By the pics, you've got the same problem I have... super stiff front springs combined with IFS makes compressing the front pretty difficult. Looks like you've got some good flex in the back though. Disconnecting your sway bar will help a little, but it takes just the perfect situation to really pack the front tire. I've only ever been able to do it once...

My rear tire spun too, so this was as far as I could get. Maybe we should start a group buy on lockers

Next years project is an ARB.

I really like the idea of having onboard air so I think the ARB will be the ticket.

The plan is to get the compressor late this year and install under the hood so I have my onboard air and then get the 3rd member work done March 2003....I am out of money until then !

I still have to buy and install this year...

Nuke Discos
32's
Sliderz
Level 10 tranny upgrade
305 cc injectors

So, unless I marry a very rich woman

After looking at these pics for a while it is obvious why serious off roaders ditch the IFS in favor of a Dana axle.....look at how much droop and stuff you can get in back versus the front :pat:

Perhaps its time to get cuttin

Not !
