Unhappy coolant problems

I own a '94 4runner that is my pride and joy. I recently have had to replace the radiator, and had some problems with an air pocket. It took quite a while to get it out and get enough coolant in. I have been driving it for a while and now I have another problem that seems to be related. The temperature wants to creep up as I sit at a traffic light. When I resume it goes back down. It runs about halfway on the temperature guage which seems a bit warmer than usual. After some city driving I have noticed that the overflow tank fills completely. Only once did I notice it dripping slowly out the small hose. When it cools the radiator is to the top with coolant and the overflow tank is empty again. I was told by my stepfather that there is probably a small air pocket still in the motor. Does anyone know what the problem could be and if there is a pocket of air, how can I get it out? I refuse to take it to the dealer again as they are the reason for the new radiator.

Perhaps completely flush out your motor of coolant, and fill it with the appropriate mixture (depending on where you live). You could replace your thermostat. As for hose leak...change out clamps and replace the hoses. That's what I would do in a situation like that.
