Confused on radiator/tranmission cooler fixes

My 2001 SR5 is doing fine but I was planning to do a preventative fix for the strawberry milkshake. I am not trying to complicate everything but if i just replace the radiator with a new OEM one does that set my clock back to 2001? I got nine years with the factory original and would accept nine more with a new radiator. I have not looked under mine in a while so should I replace the hoses to the cooler also? I know that a separate cooler is an option but for some reason iwould like to keep it stock.

Yes it will. Just use common sense when inspecting the hoses. Any sign of cracking or degradation and you'd be nuts not to replace. Scratch that. You'd be nuts not to replace regardless.

Thank - I may do the cooler anyhow. I found the TRD cooler for under 200 bucks on line. That keeps it all Toyota and has a warranty.

I'm doing the switch to a 4454 right now with the remote bypass. Which is the pressure line from the tranny and which is the return to the tranny?

If you follow the lines all the way to the tranny the return line is the most rearward. The pressure line is the closest to the front of the tranny where the torque converter is.

For $200 you can get (4) 4454 tranny coolers!
