Question clutch question

What's up guys? I've started to notice that on rough roads I can hear my clutch pedal bouncing up and down a little bit. I assume that most clutches have a little play in them but should I hear it bounce? I usually hear it as I'm slowing down. How much play should a clutch have. Is there an easy adjustment I can make to the clutch or is this typical? My truck has a little over 38k.

You mean rattling? Or literally bouncing?

There is some side to side play, that is normal. And about 1/2" of in/out play. After that, you have problems.

Maybe bounce was too strong a word. I can definately hear it move when I go over certain bumps. I'm pretty sure it's the side to side play. The other day as I was pulling into my apartment I could hear it so I glanced down and it looked like it was bouncing side to side. Kinda' hard to tell though.

It sounds like you have more of an annoyance than anything. The problem you describe shouldnt be a drivebility issue. If it bothers you, stick your head under there and take a peak at the components. Looks for anything out of the ordinary. If it would make you feel better, you could stop by the dealer and grab a tech for a sec, and see what he thinks. Remember, they cant charge you unless you sign.
