clutch fork pivot

Is there a way to grease the pivot point without removing the transmission? 97 4runner 4x4

You might be able to get some lube in there if you remove your slave cylinder and rubber boot from the bell housing.

Worth a shot.

I always used regular high temp dics brake wheel bearing grease. Before I put it together though.

I just went in the garage and took a look at a 3.0 and 3.4 trans. I can reach in through the opening for the clutch fork and touch the pivot with my finger. My trans is on a bench though.

You MAY be able to get in with an aerosol lube straw. Just don't get it on the clutch. Maybe some spray white lithium grease?

You're just going to have to get creative with the room you have to work with. Maybe you can stick something in with a dab of grease on it?

Does it really need to be done?

Just don't knock your clips off the fork or T/O bearing or you will be pulling the trans anyway.
