from what i've read, all the years will fit up with other years, in terms of light fixtures. i've also heard that you get what you pay for in the ebay light fixtures.. so just be aware of that. other than that, hope they're all you'd ever hoped for and more!

If you do buy the lights from ebay, make sure you run a bead of caulk around the lense, where it meets the housing. If you don't, you will get condensation that never goes away. When I got my clear taillights, the reverse bulb socket was too big. Nothing a little duct tape couldn't fix. LOL.

I have a similar question but the real issue here is not that they look different or not but will the 99-02 corners replace the 96-98 corners? I know the headlights are a direct swap but the bumper lights are definitely different. The corners do look nicer but will they just snap into the location for the older corners? I just did a corner blinker mod to my OEM '98 corners but looking to replace the headlights with the new 99-02 versions. Corners might not be a bad idea.

The 99-02 are a direct fit, I just put a real set on my 98, I am in Japan.

Corners are a direct fit but the bumper signal lenses are very different between the '96-'98 bumpers and the fatlip bumpers of the '99-'02 models.

ebay stuff can be cheap (which it is) but with lenses your probably be alright and I've got over 3 years on my corners/signals and no problems whatsoever and I got both pair for $40 shipped vs double that for just OEM corners.

real OEM stuff from Japan is the best. avoid ebay "made in china" stuff, trust me on that.

I 've bought a few sets from Ebay, first a set of the 96-98 lenses, and when I upgraded to the 99-02 headlights I bought another set, and I've been very happy w/ both. Fitment is good and I've had no condensation issues. With the corner and bumper lights I think you'd be just fine w/ the ebay ones...

OEM Baby, full up clears from Toyota Japan - now that is the way to go. All that other stuff is from your favorite country - China :-(

I am sorry I just like to avoid the "Made in China" label these days.

Sheesh,it's just corner lights and I've bought 6 sets of corners off of ebay for myself and friends and none of them reported any issues with them. It's not like if they fail they ruin your day and if they did leak a little it's still worth the trouble to seal them myself if I can save $60.

Just about 4 years on my corners (from my '97) and plenty of off road abuse and even submerged a few times on the signal lenses and $40 shipped for all 4 lights;ebay quality issues are overated when it comes to clear corners and stuff but yes,a small percentage probably have issues but I guess I like my odds since I'm on a budget.
