Good question, I have the same problem. I figure that if the grey cladding gets scratched up enough I can replace with some color cladding. I'll have to do one piece at a time as necessary.

I would think you can sand it down But since it's just like hard plastic like material if u sand it down too much it'll thin out.
As for me, the scars look real Gotta love em. Just think about this way, atleast it isn't painted sheet metal you're banging up!

I've been looking at mine pretty closely, It seems like theres a decent looking vehicle under that cladding. I think Toyota found a cheap way of making their vehicles appear larger and that was the primary reason for putting it on there. I don't like it mainly because it F's up my wheel wells, makes them square.
By the way, I wonder if anyone has a pic of the truck or part of it without the cladding?

You're probably right Woodbert, but the actual body seems like it follows the same lines, I guess I'm just surprised they haven't offered one without the cladding.
