Chip Mod

hi all! i searched some threads on chip mods for 3.0v6. so what i hear is that its a waste? theres no other chip mod out there? i was reading with my bud for his powerstroke diesel and just a chip alone increase a crap load of hp and torque. but thats a diesel.

Got a question, related to the chip. The differences between the pre 93 3.0v6 and the '93 are slight, but there's 30hp in the newer versions. I think there was a compression bump, but that alone doesn't add up to 30hp!

What I'm wondering is, can a guy just swap in an ECU from a '93-95 3.0v6? anyone tried this?
