Checked out a new Tacoma

Just looked at a Access Cab TRD model in Silver and they are starting to grow on me. Price on this one was around $28,700 and the double cab models were around $31,000.

I'm thinking about a test drive next week and of course it has to be the 6 speed version.

WOW.....

The Tacoma 4X4 DC Short Box Automatic I priced out was like $26,900 and something.... Privacy glass, fog lamps, cruise, power locks/windows/mirrors, chrome grille, steel wheels, single CD (standard), leather wrapped steering wheel/shifter.

I think it is the SR5 #3 Package, not sure....

I know it does not have the limited slip rear end or the e-locker, but I can have limited slip installed at a local shop for like $400 bucks.

Greetings,
I drove one last week, the Access Cab, with auto. I was standing next to the fender when I asked the guy for the key. He told me it was already running.
My advice, don't drive it unless you intend to buy one. They are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO nice!!!!!

For $4k more you get full painted cladding,Locker, alloy wheels,Bilstien shocks,6 disc changer, composite bedliner and financing would only be about $80 more a month so $31k really isn't too bad for what you get plus you get the longbed for that price.

With the price I checked it out, it has all painted cladding and composite bed..... Actually, I think all the beds are the molded composite and #3 Package has the painted cladding because the rear bumper is chrome and the grille is chrome.

No need for Bilstien shocks right now, I can live without the 6 disc changer and alloy rims.

Limited slip has worked for me..... Just have it added at a shop for $400 bucks.

And 31K? I would buy a new 4Runner... That was my intent, but I have waited to see what the new Tacoma was all about and I like the DC Short Box 4x4....
