Check Engine Light and Possible AC Belt Sqeal

hey guys!

Recently my 98 3rd gen squealed pretty bad when i started it up and right around that time a Check Engine Light came on. Then the squeal was going at about 30 second intervals on the freeway (today) Gave me time to think so I turned of the A/C, no squeal. Then turned the A/C on again and it squealed immediately. I replaced the timing belt and everything else in the kit about 1-2k miles ago. Any thoughts?

Thanks guys in advance for your time!

TC

Is the belt loose??

Don`t forget the AC compressor cycles with the defrost when the blower is on.

Problems with the AC system causing the compressor to stop rotating ??

If TB was done recently and you now have squealing, 90% chance a belt or belts needs tightening. CEL is probably unrelated. Don't waste time speculating, get it read and post the P-code. Or buy a cheap scanner. $15 Bluetooth adapter and Torque app for Android work great. You should really have your own scanner.
