93 3.0 no check engine light

93 3.0 no check engine light

turn key on and no check engine light. turn key to start and check engine light comes on, truck will start but backfires on acceleration, unable to get te1 and e1 to jumper to pull code.

You mean that when you turn the ignition to *on. That the check engine light does not illuminate at all?

yes that is right, but it does come on when starting the engine and stays on while it is running.

yes that is right, but it comes on as soon as I try to start the truck and also stays on while it is running.
