Hey guys I hear a buzzing sound from the drivers side of engine bay when engine is turned off (sounds like bees in jar) every 10 seconds. I think it is the charchol cannister according to the legend on the hood.
I brought to dealer and they said its normal. Is this true? Whats this thing do anyways? I got a check engine light now also so I am going to dealer to pull the codes and thought I'd better check with the pros first :p

 

my 4runner makes the same sound from the charcoal canister, mines an 85 tho, i think theyve just been doing it since the beginning.

 

It's "normal" but there's a TSB for it that's applied to some Taco's. I say no worrries, mine does it too.

 

Happens on mine too and I left it alone.
