CD2=Relay Killer!
Hey everyone wanted to let you know that I tried out the CD2 engine cleaner and detailer and it made my engine look awesome!! HOWEVER:mad: I was very careful to cover everything electrical up but when I did the detailer some of it found it's way to my firewall where the relay for my Hella's is at. It was intermittent for a day and died all together after two days. I pulled out my voltmeter and power was getting to it all around but lighties no workies and the posts were corroded so I swapped in a spare I had and they worked fine. Overall I am satisfied with the product just keep your relays safe.

Good to hear you got your lights working again Joey.
You know, I have been cleaning engines since '75 with Gunk, and now the newer Gunk Foamy Engine Brite, and I never cover anything, including the belts or alternator.
I do this on a cold engine, and do it twice, and rinse the entire engine bay down with the carwash hose.
Then I start the engine up to let it dry from the heat.
Never had a problem.
The detailer stuff sounds like it has an ingredient in it that shorted out the relay.
Glad to hear it's working again though.
