Can you get taller gears for hilux diffs?
I'm currently looking at running a hilux diff in my soon to be turbocharged 250cid Cortina.
Apparently theyre a good fit but the 3.7 and 4.11 gearing is way too high for my big torque turbo 250 (with a 3 speed auto).
Ideally I am after something around 3.0: 1. Is this possible? Where? And how much?
Thanks for your time.

There is a 3.54 available for the 8". Next step is 3.90, then 4.10 far as I know.
Might be some better 2wd ratios?

Thanks for the info guys. A 3.07: 1 would be pretty close to what I want.
Is that a common ratio over there in the states?
What are the chances that the gears will fit the aussie hilux diff?
How much do a set of these gears cost from the auto wreckers?
Thanks

We need to find you the axle code for those gears, or you might be able to buy them new from any number of the gear manufactuurers. An 8" diff in Aus is the same as an 8" diff here.
