Can too much oil in the engine show a code ?Iput about a 3/4 of a litre too much in the engine with my last oil change .After a long drive the check engine light appered .

 

Can't say much without knowing the code. Get it pulled by a nearby shop or by a friend with a OBDII scanner, then post it up here. Once you have the code, you can search it here and find the information you need. There is a posting on the site somewhere that lists all the codes and the associated error messages. Good luck.

 

Thanks I`m looking for someone with the code reader .They are kind of xpensive to buy .

 

check out your local advanced auto or simlar store.. they have the free to use one
