"brake" light...

Just yesterday I noticed that the brake light (same as the handbrake) light comes on while under accelearation. Not heavy, just mild steady acceleration. Does that mean I need a new parking brake, or does the car use the same brake light to tell me I need brake fluid (that would make more sence) I checked the lever, and it is firmly all the way down.

Thanks!

yup - brake fluid. There is a float in there that moves as you accelerate. I'd check the front brake pads thickness - the calipers are very open and taking in all your fluid.

I had the EXACT same problem about a month ago and it turned out to be low brake fluid. Put some more in and you'll be good to go. :fireman:

Me too. Happened in my '94 and turned out to be low fluid.
