Brake Issue

if i brake kinda hard, my brake pedal goes down about 75% and gets firm, then it kicks back up about 15-25% and brakes harder. no matter what, the brakes dont work like they should. it feels like the brakes finally "wake up" or something.

also, my rotors are warped. how hard is it to replace those? do i have to repack the bearings?

thanks

you need to repack or replace the bearings and the grease seal if you are planning on replacing your rotors... not too sure on exactly waht it sounds like is happening, but it somewhat sounds like abs

depending on how badly the rotors are warped, you could just take them in to be machined. definitely cheaper than buying new ones

ive thought about getting them machined, but they've been warped for so long i doubt they're still machinable. plus those brembo rotors are sexy

anybody know about what my problem sounds like?

My brakes have been doing that too, lately. Seems to do it more in hot weather. I have no idea what it is, but I figured it had to do with the MC. It seems fine so far...let me know if your brakes go out and you hit somebody...I'll change mine then...

If your 2wd hub is the same as my 4wd, you'll need the huge 54mm socket.

Are you back from the desert?

It's amazing how much a 2" increase in diameter makes. I'm pricing 33x10.5 BFG muds and it seems everywhere is about $165 each.
