My wife has been driving the 4runner listed in my signature below for the last couple of years. I drive/ride in it occasionally but not too often. The other day I was driving it and noticed that it has some pretty body roll when going over pot, speed bumps, and cornering. The most noticeable is when easing over speed bumps in a parking lot the body rolls back and forth pretty hard. Same goes for when you hit a dip or something in the road while driving at speed. There's just a lot of hard body roll. I drove this 4runner for a few years before my wife and I remember the ride being a little bouncy but nothing like this. I was thinking maybe it's time to replace some bushings? If that's the case which bushings should I replace? Anyone else have any ideas what the problem might be?

+1 It could also need new struts if it sways back and forth several times after speed bumps.

Check for a broken rear shock.

 

Mine did that with a bad rear shock
