Hi,

I got a cracked windshield and it looks like it needs to be replaced. If I do need to replace the windshield, do I need to replace the black molding that goes around the sides and upper part of the windshield? it's the black strip that protrudes from the glass. I'm hoping that it is reusable? is that attached to the glass or is it attached to the body via some clips?

year make model ???? if its what im thinking you have its a throw away molding, and should be replaced with the shield. most glass shops have a roll of universal trim thats dirt cheap. looks like factory and nobody would be the wiser. i use it even when i do my own vehicles. are you close to southern newhampshire?
