I have heard other people commenting (not on YT) that the NGKs don't go into the plastic sheaths well. Can anyone comment on that?

I believe so

and the above mention on NGK not fitting in to the rubber boot, I just replaced my plugs a few months ago with NGK and I haven't had this problem, at least no to my knowledge. Everything in running just fine

I believe the stock wire sets are Denso made.

I believe my wires are original and they say Sumitomo on them.

Sumitomo makes the OEM plug wires and if you look closely, you will see they are date stamped
