best header for s/c 3.4L

i understand TRD(thorley) is not having the header produced anymore for my 98' runner. i know i need some ceramic coated pipes for my s/c rig...i did search and I am aware of the installation aches and pains and $'s! edlebrock, downey or ?

I am in the same boat as you're. I'm leaning toward Downey. TRD is $$, edelbrock is poorly design. Those are just my observasion.

Did you check out the JBA headers that URD sells?

URD lists the JBA's for Taco's only, but I'm guessing they could be retrofitted to the 4Runner. It probably has something to do with the downpipe, which will require a flange to be welded on if it's a 4Runner.

I have HPC-coated Edelbrock's. They work fine but they are poorly designed and have been discontinued as far as I know.

If I could go back in time, I would have spent my $800 on a Lincoln Welder with gas, high-flow Car Sound cat, and Jardine exhaust system instead.
