If I get another battery hooked up to the car, how do I wire it so it gets recharged as with the stock battery? Would I need another alternator?Thx.

Get a dual battery isolator. I have 2 Optima Red tops and I am going to install one so that my second battery in the bed gets charged along with the main battery.
