Wow

Hi Chris, that sounds like a very nice trip you guy's & gal's went on.

Excellent pics, and just watched the Taco-cam.

That would be a lot of fun to go on a trip like that.
I'd be in snorkling heaven all day from swimming.

Cool - Thanks!

It's still a bit too chilly for snorkeling. The water is cold. It starts to get pretty good by around April-May

I am SO envious!

I have spent the last several weekends up playing in the *snow* and I long for the warmth of the sun...

See you in March!

Tempting... just one little problem. I can't take it across an international border I guess I will have to be satisfied with the Arizona desert and a side trip or two to Vegas and possibly SoCal

Beautiful photography, really captures the feel of Baja. I'm planning a similar trip for March. OK if I PM you for survival tips and tricks to driving to Cabo? Great trip, welcome home.

Thank you so much. March should be a nice time to go! Not too hot yet, but the water should be warm enough for swimming down in Cabo. If you want to snorkel for awhile, may want to take a shorty wetsuit. Feel free to PM me.

That shot was taken on the Upper Woodpecker trail here in Arizona. It is an obstacle called the "Firehole" which I wasn't about to actually attempt a full traverse of in my truck. It pretty much requires a front locker and some 1/4 protection would be wise. There is a nasty set of rocks to get past after you climb up and over the hole itself. A lot of vehicles regularly fall in... like my pal Kyle

ROB dang! yer right - I forgot about that lil' technicality

Baja,

Your website and adventures just inspire a man. Awesome how you modified your truck to tackle your rides.

If you guys haven't looked through Baja's site, he does a great job showing you how its done and the trips he's taken. Great photos.

Bob

That's cool, I wasn't sure if it was or not, nice looking truck though. I haven't been upto to much, mostly exploring the roads up Thumb Butte, Copper Basin and Senator hwy while I was on break, but, school starts again today.. .
How is Watson Lake, I haven't seen it since the snow, does it have much water in it?
Well, better get ready for school..

BOB Thanks for the kind words!! I really appreciate it.

Bryan Agghhhh!!!! School!! hehehehe Just kidding! I know classes can be a pain in the arse.

Watson lake is still REALLY LOW! even after the snow But it's still beautiful! I haven't been behind Thumb Butte for a little while. I found a really cool hill climb south of there, maybe a little more than half way to Copper Basin lookout. It's off of one of the forest roads that spur off on the east side of Copper Basin Rd. after you leave Thumb Butte Rd.

Have you ever been on top of Thumb Butte? It's pretty awesome up there - nice view!

Hi Chris-

Awesome pics! Looks like a great trip. You really have a great, informative website, too!

Wanna hear something really funny? I used to sit right around the corner in the same office as Chuck. I haven't talked to him in a while, because I'm in a new location here at "the lab", but I think its time I sent him an email...

Cheers,
Jayson

Thanks Jayson! HAHA it is a small world isn't it? Chuck just put up a gallery too. Check it out HERE

Send him an email! He just left to go to Aspen for some skiing, so you probably won't hear back from him until after the 13th.
