Auto transmission advice

I recently had a bit of difficulty on my 2000my 4Runner with 4wd and auto trans. The oil cooler line broke in the radiator and I lost 3 quarts of trans oil before I pulled it off the highway. I parked it and replaced the radiator the next day and topped off the fluids. Drove it 150 miles home, no issues. Drove it again to go to work and after 200 miles pulling hard onto interstate ramp it started losing trans fluid badly. Leaking at bellhousing area, massive leak under load. Shifted fine, no lights no temp lights, no cel, called a friend and we trailered it home. 273 thousand miles, no issues. So do I pull the trans and reseal the torque converter and input shaft, or do I rebuild the unit.? It never slips and shifted normal prior to event. Quoted 800 and change to pull it and reseal or 2400 to pull it and rebuild. Advice is appreciated,
