auto trans i need help!

auto trans i need help!

ok so i have had this recent problem and i have looked through lots of threads and cant seem to find any about the problem i am having. ok so its kind of hard to describe but when im driving at highway speeds and i get to an uphill part of the road my trans seems to slip momentarily then catch this will happen 2-3 times until i speed up a bit and i cant seem to pinpoint what would cause this so any suggestions would help

1st. we need more info.

what year truck? what trans? what engine? etc.

i am assuming the truck in your sig? but you never know.

have you checked your transmission fluid? How about your radiator fluid? Its common for the trans cooler in the radiator to fail and you end up with a strawberry milkshake and a failing transmission. Many threads on this.

yeah the truck is exactly whats in my sig checked my trans fluid right when it happened the first time and everything seems fine... and i dont think its the strawberry milkshake because im not getting any over heating temp is right in the center the whole time... could it still be?

might be your overdrive, disengaging and not engaging quite right.
maybe a shift solenoid for od? or that gear?

Sure its not low on fluid? Slipping on an uphill seems to me like its a lil low on fluid. You know you have to check trans fluid with the vechile at operating temp and running.

What gears are you running? Seems pretty normal to me when running oversized tires on stock gears unless you have 4.56 gears. I run 4.10 gears with 285/75/16 and it seems like it slips going up hill sometimes.
