Auto To Manual

I HAVE A 92 4RUNNER SR5 AUTO 4X4 WONDERING IF ANY ONE HAS EVER SWAP A AUTO FOR MANUAL??? I FOUND GEAR RATIO AND IT SEEMS THAT A MANUAL WILL GIVE MY A LITTLE MORE SNOT. MY MAIN CONCERNS ARE THE ECT/COMPUTER INPUTS AND THE SPEED SENSOR WHAT WILL I NEED TO CHANGE (ECM??) AND HOW DO I HOOK UP THE CLUTCH I KNOW I WILL HAVE TO CHANGE THE PEDAL BRACKETS BUT HOW DO I GET THE CLUTCH MASTER THROUGH THE FIREWALL ( I DONT SEE I PLUG)???? I DONT KNOW IF THE AUTO CROSSMEMBER WILL WORK OR IF THE DRIVESHAFTS ARE THE RIGHT LENGTH??

Welcome

Welcome aboard! I think it is pretty involved to swap trannies - all the things you mentioned are valid concerns. I know I read somewhere that the manual is a little shorter than the auto - not sure where I read it.

By the way, it's easier on us reading it if you don't use ALL CAPS.

Welcome!
